ISmart has institutionalized a continuous improvement processes and innovative methodologies, to address the key issues of transition management and operational efficiency improvement. Process innovation combines a structure for doing work with an orientation to visible and dramatic results. Our management philosophy needs to stress continuous measurable improvement in quality, cost, and schedule. Given below is the overview of iSmart Process Improvement Life Cycle:
Following are few baseline states and intermediate checkpoints followed for effective control and tracking of activities carried down during software development, maintenance and support phases:
Documented Project Plan for tracking software activities and status communication with the customer. This is updated regularly to reflect actual accomplishments and re-planning remaining work to be done.
Approved changes to commitments affecting the project are communicated to all members related to the project.
Work Effort (or changes to the Work effort estimated earlier) are tracked and corrective action is taken.
Critical computer resources are tracked and if necessary, corrective action is taken.
Project Schedule is tracked for schedule compliance and corrective action is taken if and as necessary.
Technical Activities of the Software engineering team is tracked and if necessary, corrective action is taken.
Project risks including cost, resource, schedule and technical aspects are tracked and a Risk mitigation plan is developed.
Measurements are made and used to determine the status of software tracking and scope creep.
Internal reviews are periodically conducted by the project team to track technical progress, plans, performance and other issues against the Project Plan
Formal reviews are conducted at project milestones (like Requirement completion, design completion, code completion, unit test completion, UAT completion). These reviews address project accomplishments.
Project tracking activities are shared by the project manager with the Senior Management on a periodic basis.
The software Quality Assurance Group reviews and audits the activities for project tracking and oversights and reports the results.
