One of the keys for an effective EMV roll out in terms of maximizing an effective Return on Investment is to having a single, open, multi-application smart card platform for your products and applications. Till date multiple issuers had no choice but to select and maintain multiple open platforms or proprietary platforms. Basically, there are only two secure, open, multi-application smart card platforms suitable for financial services, with MasterCard EMV implementation, primarily available on MULTOS and Visa EMV implementations on Global Platform (Java).

Key Features supported by iSmart’s EMV products:
  • Supports variable key / certificate lengths for Public key infrastructure (up to 2048 bits).
  • Support for variable lengths for CDOL 1, CDOL 2 related data elements is also present. i.e. application could be personalized with different values of these data elements as and when need arrives.
  • In addition to SDA & DDA support, CDA, Issuer Scripts processing, Enciphered Pin verification etc. supports are also available .
  • EMV 2000 session key generation method supported.
  • Visa’s method for session key generation supported.
  • Support for multiple MAC lengths available. i.e. Issuer can personalize the length at the time of personalization to a value of his choice e.g. either a 4 Byte or an 8 Byte MAC length could be supported.
  • Products available in both CODELET (ROMized) and EEPROM forms.
  • The card applications conforms to EMV 2000 version 4 standards in addition to the respective standards of the concerned parties like VIS 1.4.0 for Visa etc.
